A fresh start..

A Bonjour to everyone reading this blog. We started off with this kind of a thing last year, and now we're here to stay.

A little mention about what we do here in the ECEA. We get together every week, bang our heads together and hope to come up with activities and events that, despite being bounded within the walls of the technical world, hope to give you some respite from the monotonies of life, and make it more interesting. Contrary to popular view, it is not a certificate printing machine (as a lot of people ought to know by now), and no, we don’t organise bunks or anything of the sort (although we’re not against the idea).

Since you are the best judges of our success, we welcome you to share your views with us. (‘I want a certificate’ doesn’t count as a view).

This year, we have a host of events lined up. The freshers’ event promises, as always, to be the Big Bang that sets us rolling. With around 110 new entrants to ECE this year, that should definitely be interesting. We also plan to have some sort of special lectures by experts from outside by video conferencing, or otherwise. This next thing isn’t really within the purview of the ECEA, but I have to mention that the HAM club is trying to get a full time radio station for our college. That sounds brilliant and should be really handy, especially during Zion and Spree. As far as pre-TZ events go, we have some exciting new workshops and seminars in the kitty for all those interested. And onto the main course, TZ. There are 7-8 ECE events planned for TZ (including some new ones) and work on them is due to start shortly. Details will be posted next time.

Well, I think that about covers it for the near future. We will keep updating this blog as long as you keep reading it and posting comments. May the Force be with you.
